At Best Fur Forward, we believe every choice we make — from the litter we scoop to the packaging we use — can shape a kinder, cleaner future for our pets and the planet.

✅ Certified Compostable Packaging = Plant-based PLA BIOPLASTIC

Our bags are certified home compostable by the Australian Bioplastics Association (ABA) under the AS5810 standard. That means our packaging breaks down in real-world backyard compost conditions and 1-2 years in landfill. Regular plastic packaging takes up to 500 years to degrade, but into toxins and microplastics which continue to contaminate the environment.

Every year, millions of tons of plastic waste enter our oceans, harming over 700 species of marine animals. Microplastics enter the food chain when animals like fish and shellfish mistake them for food - and when we eat those animals, the plastics can end up in our bodies, where they may cause inflammation, disrupt hormones, and affect overall health.

Certification isn’t just a sticker - it requires rigorous testing for biodegradability, earthworm and plant safety, and full disintegration. We don’t cut corners, and we don’t greenwash.

🍵 Ingredients That Care

We use upcycled tofu byproduct and green tea - both renewable, biodegradable, and gentle on paws. No mining, no synthetic additives, no nasties. Just clean ingredients that work.

🏡 Home Composting Tips

✅ Only compost pee clumps and unused litter — dispose of poo separately.
✅ Mix with dry material like leaves or shredded cardboard to help it break down.
✅ Use your compost on non-edible plants like trees, shrubs, and flowers.
✅We've gone the extra step by ditching plastic and choosing certified home compostable packaging — proudly the only cat litter brand in Australia to do so.
