From Cat Rescue to MATCHA Cat Litter

I’ve loved cats for as long as I can remember. Since graduating from the University of Sydney in 2002, I’ve cared for them as a veterinarian and helped families through every stage of their cats’ lives.

The idea for Best Fur Forward came when I fostered two pregnant rescue cats. Caring for eight cats at once showed me just how much litter a busy cat home can use. I wanted a plant based cat litter that worked well for cats, kept the home clean and created less waste.

After testing more than 30 litters, I developed MATCHA plant based clumping cat litter. Made with upcycled soy fibre and green tea, it offers firm clumps, low dust, low tracking and natural odour control. Even the packaging is home compostable.

Best Fur Forward brings together my love of cats, veterinary care and cat rescue. My hope is to make everyday cat care easier while continuing to support the people who give rescue cats a second chance.
