MATCHA is a Vet-developed, plant-based clumping cat litter created for cleaner homes, calmer cats and easier litter routines.

Developed by Sydney Veterinarian Dr Tanya Phillips, MATCHA was created after years of seeing the same litter problems in real homes: smell, dust, tracking, crumbling and cats avoiding the tray.

Made from upcycled soy fibre and green tea by-products, MATCHA is designed to be gentle under paws, low dust, highly absorbent and naturally powerful at controlling odour.

Even the packaging is plant-based, because better cat care should also be kinder to the planet.

MATCHA uses the natural odour-neutralising properties of green tea catechins to help keep your litter tray and home smelling fresh without artificial fragrances or harsh additives.

The fast, tight clumping helps lock away moisture and odour quickly, making scooping easier and reducing the amount of clean litter wasted.

MATCHA is also designed with lightweight 1.5mm pellets that are soft under paws but stable enough to help reduce tracking, crumbling and dust beyond the tray.

Because cats experience scent differently to us, keeping the tray clean and naturally fresh can also help create a calmer litter experience, especially in multi-cat homes.

MATCHA is designed to last longer by forming fast, tight clumps that are easy to scoop without removing excess clean litter.

One 4.7kg bag can fill two large litter trays and, depending on your cat’s habits and tray setup, may last approximately:

1 cat: up to 2 months
2 cats: around 1 month
3 cats: around 2 to 3 weeks

For best results, fill the tray to a depth of 8–10cm, scoop daily and top up as needed.

Yes, many customers use MATCHA successfully in automatic litter boxes.

Thanks to its strong clumping and lightweight 1.5mm pellets, MATCHA can work well with many self-cleaning trays and may help reduce clean litter waste during the cleaning cycle.

Because automatic litter boxes vary, please check your machine’s litter requirements before use. MATCHA may not be suitable for some models designed only for clay litter, including the original Litter-Robot.

If you use a Litter-Robot, you may need a compatible sifting grate designed for pellet-style litter.

THE BEST CAT LITTER IN THE INDUSTRY 💚

Absolutely love the Twin Pack Matcha Cat Litter from Best Fur Forward! The clumping is fantastic — it forms solid clumps that make cleaning the litter box quick and easy.
The biggest standout for me is the odour control. It smells incredible and does an amazing job of eliminating urine smells, keeping the litter box area feeling fresh rather than having that typical cat-litter smell.
I’ve also been really impressed with how little tracking there is. There’s very limited litter making its way outside the box, which means less mess around the house and less cleaning.
Overall, great clumping, amazing odour control and minimal tracking. Definitely a product I’d recommend to other cat owners! 🐾

Switched to MATCHA and never turned back!

Switched my Goldie a British Shorthair cat to MATCHA litter by Best Fur Forward and I’m not going back.

After using the usual clay and silica litters, you don’t realise how dusty and full of chemicals they are until you switch to something cleaner.

This one’s plant based, low dust, no harsh artificial smells and actually controls odour really well. It’s also biodegradable, which just feels like a better choice all round.

Such an easy swap away from the toxic stuff.

Matcha Tofu - the Game Changer

For me, Matcha Tofu Cat Litter has been a 'game changer'. My home has gone from 'much mess, much fuss', to 'no mess, no fuss'. My two Tonkinese were attracted to the aroma of the litter immediately. They don't seem to feel the need to fling it all over the floor. The small granularity of the litter means it falls through the tines of the scooper, meaning no wastage. And the 'clumping' of wet litter into solid mass, of which I was initially skeptical, works perfectly. In short, Dr Tanya's invention has given me back one hour of my life every evening - less scooping, cleaning, and vacuuming. And the 4.7 kg bags are perfect - so much better than those big, hefty litter bags that are so cumbersome to lift and pour. All in all, this is quite a miraculous product.

Love the smell and clumps great.
I swapped from another brand of tofu litter to this one, so I feel it was a pretty smooth transition. My 1yr old cat used it straight away.
My 12rd old cat will pee in it, but will poop next to to the box on the floor. But that's an ongoing issue we're trying to navigate, so I dont think the new litter is an issue. So still 5/5.💚

I’ve tried a few natural litters

I’ve tried a few natural litters, this is the best by far, clumping & at concealing all smells, my cat is much happier to keep using this litter longer. Also love that it come in a paper bag, I hated wasting a large plastic bag every month with previous litter.
